If you are a makeup junkie like me , you probably own a tone of eyeshadow palettes , from natural to colourful , from matte to glittery , every look become mine as long as it means that I get to own a new makeup palette . However the smokey eye look remains THE ultimate look . So I had to get my hands on the smoked palette .The look of the packaging  and the colours were so promising and the possibilities endless.

INTRODUCTION TO

THE SMOKED PALETTE 

The smoked palette contains ten eyeshadows , including four mattes .

The shades are perfect for any smokey eyes possible , if i had to put a smokey palette together ,this is how i would do it .

The four mattes are your basic matte vanilla shade, a matte nude , a matte brown and a matte black

the rest of the shades are vibrant , jewelled toned shades and more natural shades like mushroom which is a taupe shade and a bronzy brown for a warmer look.

The packaging is practical and professional looking , simple and straight to the point . The smoked palette also comes with a step by step guide for any look that you could ever think of.

The quality of the eyeshadows is almost too good to be true ,it glides on your lids like butter and blend like an absolute dream . It is worth the investment just for that .

The palette comes in a beautifully decorated box .

 I love Sleek's boxes , you can spot the palette you want immediately , if you're like me and own all of them ;p

The palette in itself is black and sleek ,definitely pricier looking than what you actually payed for it .

It is a very sturdy palette , well put together .

I really enjoy the creativity  of the packaging and the fact that it looks just like a chocolate bar lol

each palette is designed with this concept in mind : TREAT YOURSELF!

The supreme palette's design is amazing and is not the type of packaging that you would usually find in the drugstore .

THE COLOURS

The supreme palette's colour scheme is surprisingly not what you would typically  expect from a autumn/ winter collection. 

This palette contains a mix of blues and greens .

The blues are mainly pastel with a beautiful navy for a sky blue smokey eye look.

The greens are olive based , fantastic for autumn . 

The other colours are pastel and quite fresh .

This palette contains eleven matte shades , amazing for a drugstore find .

I think that their matte shadows really improved in quality and smoothness .

Sleek surprises us with this palette and Im loving it !

The respect palette is definitely a natural palette , perfect for fall/winter .

The colour range allow you to create a large range of looks , from a warm natural look to a classy smokey look.

If you do not enjoy colours or don't know how to work with them , this palette is for you.

the respect palette contains eight matte shades  and  four shimmers . Again a great balance here.

 The palette also contains bright orangey shades.

This combination of colours make the respect palette stand out from the crowd .

Sleek is definitely doing something right here.

 LORAC PRO PALETTE : THE PACKAGING.

the Lorac pro palette is definitely meant to suit the busy doll that you certainly are ,the packaging is flat , sleek , matte black and light as a feather .

you can easily pop this bad guy in your bag and fly out the door .

The “pro” labelled palette really is PRO, no fancy theme here , this baby goes straight to the point .The colours are named accordingly “white” is white and “taupe” is taupe.

the palette contains 8.8g of products , wish represents 0.55g per eyeshadows .

the palette also comes with a primer .

THE COLOURS

The lorac pro palette contains 16 eye shadows , 8 mattes and 8 shimmers ,wish is a really clever and allow a really wide range of looks .

WHITE

 Is a matte white with micro shimmers . Good pigmentation . Has a powdery , dry texture but is still really easy to work with . Blend easily .

CREAM

 Is a matte cream eyeshadow . Fairly good pigmentation . Has a smooth texture and is definitely build able . Blend easily .

TAUPE

Is a warm taupe leaning more on the brown than the grey .Good pigmentation .Has a lovely smooth texture and is super build able .Blend easily

LT PINK

 Is a matte pale pink .Good pigmentation.Has a really smooth texture .Blend easily.

MAUVE

Is probably one of my favourite, it’s a matte mauve with good pigmentation  and  a lovely smooth texture.

SABLE

Is a warm brown with a reddish orange undertone .Very pigmented .Has a smooth but powdery  texture and blend like a dream .

ESPRESSO

 Is a matte dark brown.Very pigmented .It has a dryer texture and blend really well.

BLACK

 Is a matte black. Fairly pigmented but really built able . Not the best matte black out there but good none the less .

 These matte eyeshadows have a definite high end feel to them and the colour selection is very good. All the basics are present in this palette and allow all sorts of classic timeless look with colours that will soon become staples in your eyeshadow collection.

NUDE

Is a  champagne colour with white shimmers.very good pigmentation .definitely a really dupable colour.Has a smooth texture but not overly creamy. blend really well

CHAMPAGNE

 Is a rosy satin finish shadow with white fine glitters. Fairly good pigmentation . It has a dry texture . Blend well .

GOLD

Is a warm gold .Good pigmentation . It has a medium texture , perfect to my opinion , not so creamy that it could crease but not too dry neither .Blend perfectly .

LT BRONZE

Is a light gold champagne . Has a medium  texture . Good pigmentation . Blend perfectly .

PEWTER

Is a taupe with a hint of purple .Has a medium texture. Lovely pigmentation. Blend perfectly.

GARNET

Is a reddish plum. Has a medium texture . Great pigmentation. Blend perfectly

DEEP PURPLE

Is a dark aubergine . Has a medium texture. Has amazing pigmentation. Blend well.

SLATE

Is a gunmetal grey.Has great pigmentation. Blend like a dream.

LORAC PRO PALETTE vs  NAKED1

PACKAGING

The Lorac pro palette is a definite winner for me , lighter and slimmer ,this is the palette that I would take on the go with me .

COLOR SELECTION

Again the Lorac pro palette is the winner here ,the balance between warm and cool allow every look possible,including a beautiful deep purple and a lovely garnet  ,with are perfect for fall .

The naked palette is lacking in the matte eyeshadow department .I would have love to see a matte black and  a matte brown , both present in the Lorac pro palette.

The Lorac pro palette remind me of a professional makeup palette with all the basics you’ll ever need whereas the Naked palette contains really cool fashionable colours wish make both palettes a must have to my opinion because after all it all depends on what you’re after .

 QUALITY

The naked palette has the best texture , smooth, creamy , perfect. But the Lorac pro palettehas definitely perfect pigmentation and blend ability , it just has that slightly dryer texture than the Naked , prefect for oilier lids by the way.I have ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS about this palette .

VALUE FOR MONEY

Both palette has amazing value for money but the ultimate winner is the Naked palette ,you are getting twelve full size eyeshadows  a good primer and a brush (or eyeliner),so no question here The Naked palette is AMAZING.

MY PICK

I would rather get the LORAC PRO to be honest .This palette allow a bigger range of looks , going from the basic matte classic defined eyes to the dark plumy gothic look if I wanted to . So to my opinion it is worth every penny as you getting more out of it .

Halloween is almost here , and I was wondering as I was filming these tutorials if society really is ready for the woman of tomorrow or if we still see women with  opinions and "balls"as WITCHES and women with  drive and crazy ambitions as POISON for our society .

The question remains :

ARE WE THE PEOPLE OF SALEM ?

As countless tales and movies tell the story of these women hunted for their powers and abilities , I can't help but thinking that we are on a fabulous journey ,we've accomplished so much as women and still do .We do what men can do and we are after all, life itself.

But do we still hunt witches ?

This character was created after the rise of feminism and so one has to wonder if  POISON IVY is the ultimate feminine villain ?

Well she was promoted as one  extreme female ecologist and she is also independent and focused on her goals .

So on one hand, we are breaking the mould with a strong feminine figure ,who fights furiously  for what she believes in and does not need the help of any man to do that and on the other hand, we have here a psychopath ready to kill humans to achieve her goals,she also uses her feminine assets against themselves to get what she wants .After all aren't we the mother of nature and aren't we suppose to create life ?

Here is the ultimate choice dolls ,WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE ? good or evil ?

My conclusion to this post is that ,the good ,the bad is ultimately a choice that belong to everybody .wether you were born male or female ,the choice is fully yours .

So what makes us villains or hero ?

well I guess that it all comes down to making the right choices .

As the witch hunters are still making the wrong choice let's ask ourselves ,why do we keep describing those strong woman as ugly old woman with long noses?

Well ,I really believe that it’s in our nature ,which is why we are at the top of the food chain . We own a conscious and that is what’s important here really.We know that we have potential ,we know that our life is incomplete ,we know that tomorrow could be better depending on our efforts and ultimately we know that we haven’t done enough most of the time .

What I really mean is that a plant or an animal has no idea that they growing and dying! This is simply a HUMAN thing ! And so are mistakes ,they are only human,not only because we find ourselves excuses and because we have to forgive ourselves in order to move on ,but also because it is literally ONLY human ,plants or dogs don’t make mistakes !

So suddenly we realise that we are very incomplete creatures and unfortunately ,we also are fully aware of it ! Our mistakes ,our unfulfilled dreams make us  who we are .So it is in our nature to want more .We are designed to perform and evolve ,to constantly grow and this is the ultimate goal of my life .Which is why we shouldn’t feel bad about wanted more ,as we participate to create a more advanced and modern world at our own level obviously.

Now it is important to understand that through this dynamic everything evolves ,GOOD and EVIL!

And this is where you choose my friend ,Im I going to want to be a better person ? Or do I want to use others for my own benefit and hurt others?

SO WHATEVER YOU WANT IN LIFE ,OWN IT ,BECAUSE IT IS RIGHTFULLY YOURS BY NATURE AND MAKE SURE THAT IT IS HELPING YOURSELF AND OTHERS TO EVOLVE TO BETTER HUMAN BEINGS !
